The Data Governance Expert will play a crucial role in contributing to our client's data governance and data architecture stream. They will ensure that the data architecture and data stack are aligned with client's overall goals and objectives. The Data Architect will also have oversight of data management to ensure that data is stored, organized, integrated, and accessed as defined in policies and procedures.Mission• Contribute to the UEFA data governance & data architecture stream• Ensure data architecture and data stack are aligned with UEFA's overall goal and objectives• Data management oversight and ensure data is stored, organized, integrated, and accessed as defined in policies and proceduresMain responsibilities• Act as SME and review conceptual, logical, and/or physical data models and metadata for new and existing ICT solutions• Ensure diagrams representing the data landscape, data flows and data lifecycle are created and maintained by the project teams• Ensure data from various sources can be integrated, combined, and used cohesively across solutions• Contribute to data governance policies and procedures (eg: data quality, retention, metadata, etc.), and maintain documentations related to data governance• Implement measures to identify how data is used, monitor compliance with policies and procedures, and safeguard the access and sharing of sensitive data• Active and close collaboration with business stakeholders to identify requirements related to governance and ensure that the processes align with the data needs of the business• Product owner of the data catalog and data governance-related solutions, ensure together with the stakeholders its usage, completeness and accuracy • Work with Enterprise architect to maintain enterprise data (data object, interfaces, processes) in the EA tool• Work with Solution architect to ensure that data solutions are adopted and implemented according to UEFA's best practices• Work with Data analytics expert in assisting in the design of robust solutions for data analytics and data science• Keep up to date with latest data technology and trends, ensure with the relevant subject matter expert that the UEFA's data stack remains relevant and costeTicient• Coordinate and participate to cross-divisional data governance and architecture meetingsFocus• Data architecture• Data governance• Database / Data warehouse / Data lake• BI / Data science• Data security and privacyDesired background• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information technology, or ideally data science• Proven background in data management, governance and analytics• Hands-on experiences with databases, data warehouses/lakes, and data catalog/governance platforms• Strong modelling and analytical skills• Service-oriented and problem-solving mindset• Excellent communication skills and team playerDesired operation• Build relationships with the business with weekly on-site presence• Knowledge of marketing/fan areas, ideally of the sport industry• Experience with a modern data catalog (Atlan, Alation, CastorDoc, etc.)• Experience with UEFA data ecosystem or equivalent o Structured/Unstructured data sources:SQL/NoSQL databases, AWS S3Transformation: dbtDWH: SnowflakeData Science: dataikuBI/Visualisation: Tableau (on-premise, cloud), PowerBIWork Arrangement:
