The Medical Advisor function is responsible for creating scientific partnerships with KOLs through a qualified approach that results in access and advocacy based on scientific evidence.Additionally, the Medical Advisor is the point of accountability for medical and scientific issues and initiatives related to the therapeutic area.The Medical Advisor is accountable for developing and executing the country medical plan that supports the strategic operating goals for the business.Main Responsibilities:Develop and consolidate a network of relationships with KOLs and Scientific Institutions, sharing knowledge and technical skills to support the scientific and medical leadership of the company.Be the national medical expert in the area.Facilitate medical and scientific local intelligence, understand competitive research activities, generate insights from investigators, and identify opportunities for collaborations with key institutions and KOL leaders.Plan and execute national medical scientific strategic plans. Provide in-country support for the therapeutic area and communicate medical activities to KOLs.Observe and assess competing vaccines.Attend relevant Scientific Meetings and Conferences.Lead medical communications at the national level.Build and develop enduring peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals and institutions.Ensure new clinical data on Pfizer vaccines are disseminated accurately and compliantly.Ensure a strong medical and scientific presence for Pfizer in investigational sites and key scientific centers.Provide scientific and technical leadership for credible relationships with investigators.Discuss research grant proposals with the above country medical team.Support independent sponsored research, non-interventional studies, and research grants planning and management.Support clinical research and interventional phase 1-4 trials with Pfizer vaccines.Implement and manage post-marketing studies.Work in close collaboration with internal colleagues.Support promotional activities with local KOLs and Scientific Societies.Align, support, and contribute to different internal stakeholders.Support internal training of MSRs and customer-facing commercial colleagues.Provide scientific input to the cross-functional team and contribute to company plans through actionable medical insights.Track internal activities and communications through periodic reports.Ensure compliance with Pfizer internal policies and regulations in all activities.Support the Medical Director and Team Leader in team leadership and initiatives.Education, Skills and Professional ExperienceDegree in health sciences.PhD and expertise in vaccines strongly desired.Upper level of Spanish and English experience.Background in Vaccines, Epidemiology, Public Health, Clinical Trials, and Translational Medicine.Preferably more than 5 years of experience in Medical Affairs.Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.Experience in medical writing and submission of papers to peer-reviewed journals.Strong customer orientation and science-based approach.Project management skills and ability to work under strict deadlines.Ability to work in a multi-functional team.Ability to adopt and utilize new digital technology and resources.Working knowledge of Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Legal and Compliance.Good understanding of the healthcare environment at national and regional levels.Good understanding of vaccines development, clinical research, and medical decision-making.Interest and knowledge in innovation, including artificial intelligence and statistics.Willingness to travel and possess a valid driver’s license.Additional InformationType of position: Full-time, regularEuropean work permit necessaryNO Relocation package availableWork location: Madrid#LI-PFEPurpose: Breakthroughs that change patients' lives...
