As such we’re looking for an experienced developer to join our mobile team to push the boundaries of what’s possible. You’ll be someone who loves innovating and problem solving, and is passionate about writing scalable, testable and maintainable code to support our fast growing team and user base.We’re looking for someone who can work on both an established (seller side) and greenfield (buyer side) React Native app. However this is just the beginning - we have large ambitions for where we want to go over the coming months and years, and your experience will help to shape our strategy and design as we continue to grow.You’ll guide the future of Bark whilst evolving an app that is used by hundreds of thousands of professionals / customers around the world. You’ll be involved in every aspect of the process from ideation and design, right through to implementation.Responsibilities Translation of UX/UI designs into production quality mobile experiences, using our Mobile App stack (React Native, Typescript, Redux, Context, React Query, Jest, React Testing Library, Detox) Knowledge sharing with other developers to support app development Optimisation of code build, test and deployment cycles to ensure the best performance of our mobile application Working with React (web) developers to cross-train and spot opportunities for next-generation mobile applications Proactively propose and implement improvements to the codebase Designing and coding solutions to help delight end users Collaboration with product managers and designers to create prototypes necessary for usability evaluations, A/B and MVP testing and development specifications Working within 2 week sprints using the agile methodology Required Skills and Experience 5+ years experience working with Front end frameworks in a production environment (React Native, React, Vue, Angular or similar) 3+ years experience in Mobile App development 2+ years recent experience working specifically with React Native Proven, hands on experience with Javascript A solid understanding and experience with React Native libraries Experience managing or creating deployment pipelines Familiarity with the mechanics of App deployment and approval processes A good understanding of application test tooling and pipelines Experience with automated test tooling and CI/CD pipelines Strong experience building mobile applications optimised for rich and interactive user experiences Professional Proficiency in English Some of our benefits Fully remote working Personal annual L&D Budgets with 1,000€ to spend on your development Being at the forefront of an industry with new and exciting problems to solve Interview Process Screening Call with Talent Partner (30 mins) 1st Stage - Hiring Manager Stage (30/45 mins) 2nd Stage - Technical Task (60 mins) 3rd Stage - Values interview (45 mins) Diversity Statement At Bark, we are a platform for people, revolutionising the way professionals and individuals connect since 2014.
