Job DescriptionThe GIH M&A department is looking for a project manager to help handling the coordination and execution of M&A transactions.He/she will also be asked to conduct Company screening and industry research in the context of M&A projects.The candidate will support the team in daily project management activities including but not limited to:Coordinating M&A transaction activities across internal teams and external stakeholders (eg financial, legal, accounting, tax consultants) ensuring alignment in relation to the transaction related tasksDriving the due diligence phase and contributing to the development of financial valuation models which integrate synergies and strategic, business, operational, financial, legal, tax and other considerationsManaging and steering the M&A process to ensure effective coordination among all stakeholders involved, and timely reporting of planned, ongoing, and potential M&A opportunitiesPreparing documentation for the Board of Directors and internal committees to support the decision-making processSupporting stakeholders during the post signing/pre-closing period and, if necessary, in the integration phase, in close connection with other internal functionsIdentifying and assessing new potential targets (acquisition/disposal) and growth opportunities in both existing and new marketsRequirementsOur ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:Master of Science in Finance, MBA or equivalentAt least 2/3 years seniority in M&A / Corporate FinanceStrong analytical and communication skillsEnglish mandatory; fluency in other languages welcomedAccountability, performance drive, proactivity, team playerExpert in financial analysisExcellent written and verbal communications skillsExcellent analytical skills and high attention to detailExcellent presentation skillsExcellent executive presenceMust be able to travel as needed/required.Company ProfileGenerali is a major player in the global insurance industry - a strategic and highly important sector for the growth, development, and welfare of modern societies.
