Join to apply for the Accountant role at CENTOGENE3 days ago – Be among the first 25 applicantsResponsibilitiesAs an Accountant at CENTOGENE Spain, you will support the Finance team by managing daily accounting tasks and ensuring compliance with internal policies and local regulatory requirements. Your responsibilities will include processing financial documentation, managing VAT filings, and supporting closing activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in an international and fast‑paced environment.Perform general accounting activities including invoice processing, filing (including fax filing), and document managementPrepare and review VAT declarations and ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulationsAssist with monthly, quarterly, and annual closingsSupport the reconciliation of accounts and preparation of journal entriesManage vendor and customer accounting‑related requestsMaintain accurate and organized financial records and support document archiving processesAssist with internal and external audits, providing relevant documentationCollaborate with colleagues in Spain and international finance teams to ensure alignment and accuracyContribute to process improvements and support implementation of digitization initiativesRequirementsDegree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or comparable qualification2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role (experience in Spain preferred)Knowledge of Spanish VAT and general tax regulationsExperience with ERP systems (preferably Microsoft D365 or equivalent)Proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong attention to detail and accuracyGood analytical and organizational skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamFluency in Spanish & English (written and spoken)Experience working in an international environment is desirableHigh level of reliability, responsibility, and problem‑solving mindsetStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlinesProactive and structured working styleAbout usWith employees from over 50 nations, CENTOGENE is a truly international company with offices in Rostock, Berlin, Delhi, Boston, Valencia, Belgrade, and São Paulo.
