Overview Principal Data Scientist - Agentic AI - BCN/MAD at AILY LABS – Madrid or Barcelona. Join to apply for this role at AILY LABS. Mission Are you ready to take part in the upcoming AI revolution of the business world? We have an extraordinary opportunity for you if you want to work with data and technology alongside a crew of sharp analytical minds. This role focuses on building end-to-end, top-level decision-making tools with cutting-edge Agentic AI and leading the development of features for the product. Responsibilities Understand a business requirement and design an ML approach with cutting-edge LLM usage to solve the challenge effectively Define the technology to use in each part of the pipeline (SQL, Python, EC2, AWS Lambda, crontab, etc.) Lead a team of data scientists toward the development of a feature for the application Own the delivery of business requirements Ensure coding best practices in development and mentor junior and senior data scientists in coding standards Ensure the quality of deliverables from your team and other contributors Interact with other functions and define data exchange protocols (DevOps, Front End, Database, backend, etc.) Define strategies for the use of data and how data use interacts with data design Lead an AI laboratory performing discovery tasks and developing AI products Qualifications 9+ years of experience in data science 5+ years in data programming/scripting (Python, R, SQL); includes package building and object-oriented programming; bonus: APIs, AWS Lambda, Step Functions >4 years' experience in machine-learning methodologies (supervised/unsupervised, deep learning) Experience leading multiple projects and multiple teams Experience in project planning Experience in communicating technically to varied audiences Ability to work in a fast environment and learn quickly Background in data science consulting or product development Enthusiasm for the latest developments in LLMs and Agentic AI (Bonus) Master’s in Data Science / Machine Learning (Bonus) AWS Cloud experience What we offer Flexible working culture: Work from home and in our Barcelona or Madrid offices Healthcare coverage with Sanitas (Spain) Latest devices to be a master: MacBook Pro M2 16GB Internationally diverse team that supports one another Knowledge sharing through bootcamps and AilyConnection events Support for lifelong learning and training Opportunity to collaborate with universities and publish papers About Us Founded in 2020 in Munich, Aily Labs is a rapidly expanding start-up in the B2B SaaS space with offices in Munich, Barcelona, Madrid, Cluj and New York.
