The partner: We are looking for a Senior Hydraulic Engineer to be hired on a permanent contract with one of our clients, an innovative Start-Up in the chemical-engineering sector. Our client specializes in renewable energy and, in particular, in the research, development and prototyping of new green batteries and long-duration energy storage systems. The role: Design hydraulic system architecture: pump sizing/selection, manifolds, flow distribution, pressure management, filtration, venting/degassing concepts. Develop piping layouts and define standards for routing, supports, accessibility, and service ability within a container. Define instrumentation strategy: pressure/flow/temperature sensing, control valves, safety relief devices, and interlocks. Build hydraulic loss models (Δp), NPSH/cavitation risk checks, transient behavior considerations. Run and interpret CFD and/or hydraulic network simulations to optimize flow uniformity and efficiency. Write component specifications and acceptance criteria; support supplier technical alignment. Support commissioning and troubleshooting on pilot systems and containers. Draft procedures, reports and technical documentation in general. Mandatory skills: Experiencein engineering development of pressurized liquid systems (PhD years can be counted as experience if relevant). Strong capability in hydraulic design, piping engineering, and system integration. Experience translating requirements into component sizing and technical specifications.
