Field Application Engineer / After-Sales Engineer We are seeking an experienced Senior Field Technician specialized in BESS (Battery Energy Storage Systems) , focusing on PCS (Power Conversion Systems) and Lithium Battery Systems . This role involves overseeing the installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and maintenance of energy storage systems in C&I (Commercial & Industrial) and Utility Scale environments. The Senior Field Technician will also support technical training activities, delivering training sessions for customers and internal staff, and contributing to the development of technical procedures and training documentation . Key Responsibilities Technical Operations: Lead installation, commissioning, troubleshooting of PCS , Lithium Battery Systems , and BESS/RESS solutions; conduct functional tests, monitoring, diagnostics; ensure project milestones meet standards. Call Center Technical Support: Participate in call center support ; collaborate with Help Desk; act as escalation point. Customer Support & Communication: Serve as primary technical contact; explain performance and troubleshooting; ensure satisfaction. Reporting & Documentation: Prepare technical reports, logs, commissioning records; complete service records, inspection forms, checklists. Training & Technical Procedure Development: Conduct technical training sessions; develop training materials and procedures; support continuous improvement of content. Compliance & Safety: Ensure compliance with HSE standards; conduct safety inspections; maintain proper tools and handling procedures. Requirements Education & Certification: Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering , Energy Systems , Mechatronics , or related fields; professional skills in BESS/PCS/RESS installation, maintenance, commissioning. Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in field service for BESS/PCS/RESS ; leadership in commissioning & maintenance on C&I and Utility Scale ; experience in training delivery and procedure development desirable. Technical Skills: Knowledge of PCS , BESS , RESS technologies including grid compliance; read blueprints, wiring diagrams, control schematics; familiarity with SCADA systems , EMS , monitoring platforms. Soft Skills: Excellent communication, problem‑solving, critical thinking; adaptability; frequent travel; field‑based environment; on‑call availability during critical phases.
