We’re looking for a detail‑oriented and trustworthy Payroll Specialist to join our team You’ll work closely with People Operations, Finance, and external providers to support a smooth and efficient payroll process. This is a 6‑month to 1‑year fixed‑term contract to cover a parental leave. Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees in Spain and Italy Ensure compliance with local labour laws, tax regulations, and internal policies Maintain and update payroll records and employee data (e.g., Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies or errors Coordinate with Finance for payroll‑related journal entries and reporting Manage relationships with external payroll vendors or platforms Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, taxes, and payslips Support audits and reporting requirements as needed ✅ Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist, Payroll Administrator, or similar role in Spain (+2 or 3 years experience) Solid understanding of payroll principles, labour legislation, and tax regulations Experience working with payroll software (e.g., ADP, SAP, Workday, Deel, etc.) Comfortable working with spreadsheets and payroll reports Fluent in English and Spanish Experience working in a multinational or remote‑first company Familiarity with payroll processes in Italy Knowledge of benefits administration and HRIS tools Our Applicant and Candidate Privacy Notice and Artificial Intelligence Notice, Website Privacy Notice and Cookie Notice govern the collection and use of your personal data.
