Job Title BMC Solution Engineer – Design, Deployment & Support (Contract) Location Remote About the Role We are seeking an experienced BMC Solution Engineer to support the design, deployment, and troubleshooting of Nokia’s Broadcast Messaging Center (BMC) platform as part of a high‑visibility customer program. This role requires strong technical leadership, hands‑on integration expertise, and the ability to manage end‑to‑end solution support across lab and production environments. Key Responsibilities BMC Design & Technical Consultation Lead technical workshops with Nokia and customer teams to define deployment, integration, and system requirements. Analyze and document key design inputs, including interconnectivity (C-Interface), OSS systems, LTE elements (MMEs), platform dependencies, and interface boundaries. Develop and maintain Customer Site and Network Integration Survey (CSNIS) documents following Nokia standards. Populate CSNIS with detailed technical data: IP addressing, routing tables, VLAN assignments Network architecture diagrams and logical/physical layouts DNS/NTP/SNMP parameters and system configurations Interface, chassis, and hardware configuration details Facilitate technical review sessions and update deliverables based on stakeholder feedback. BMC Deployment & Integration Execution Prepare and validate Method of Procedure (MoP) and Acceptance Test Plans (ATP) for each deployment site. Coordinate integration windows and align activities with customer schedules. Install and configure the BMC platform and application software following approved processes. Establish and validate connectivity with network elements including: NAAD Government Gateway (e.g., FEMA IPAWS) LTE MMEs, GSM BSCs, UMTS RNCs, Femto/Small Cells Conduct functional and end‑to‑end testing using live or simulated alerts to ensure production readiness. Troubleshooting & Post-Deployment Support Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for all BMC technical issues. Respond promptly to service requests and perform root cause analysis using logs, traces, and diagnostics. Collaborate with Nokia SMEs to resolve complex issues. Open and manage Assistance Requests (ARs)/NCT tickets for defects or documentation gaps. Provide routine status updates according to issue priority (daily for critical items; weekly for others). Deliver resolution reports and lead customer review sessions for closure and sign‑off. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or related engineering discipline. 5+ years of experience in telecom infrastructure, ideally within core networks, messaging systems, or broadcast alerting. Hands‑on expertise with Nokia BMC platform design, configuration, and deployment. Strong knowledge of LTE/GSM/UMTS core networks and OSS/SNMP protocols. Proven experience producing technical documentation (CSNIS, MoP, ATP). Solid understanding of network integration principles: IP addressing, VLANs, DNS/NTP. Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer‑facing coordination skills. Preferred Skills Prior experience working at Nokia or with Nokia BMC deployments. Familiarity with public warning systems (e.g., FEMA IPAWS, NAAD). Experience supporting both lab validation and large‑scale production rollouts.
