Job OverviewThe Onshore Wind Troubleshooter / Service Technician is responsible for the maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of onshore wind turbines to ensure optimal performance, safety, and availability. This role involves advanced troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and control systems, supporting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities, and minimizing turbine downtime.Duration1 year contract (with high likelihood of extension)Key ResponsibilitiesPerform troubleshooting, diagnostics, and corrective maintenance on onshore wind turbinesIdentify and resolve mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and control system faultsExecute preventive and scheduled maintenance activities in accordance with OEM guidelinesRead, interpret, and follow electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and technical manualsConduct root cause analysis and provide technical feedback to engineering and operations teamsEnsure compliance with HSE policies, site procedures, and industry standardsAccurately document service activities, fault reports, and work ordersSupport commissioning, retrofits, and major component replacements as requiredAssist in mentoring junior technicians when necessarySkills & QualificationsRequiredTechnical qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related fieldProven experience as a Wind Turbine Technician or Troubleshooter (onshore)Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, mechanical, and control systemsExperience working with SCADA systems and fault diagnosticsValid GWO certifications (BST, BTT, or equivalent)Ability to work at heights and in remote locationsStrong understanding of HSE requirements in wind operationsPreferredHigh-voltage switching authorizationExperience with major component exchanges (gearbox, generator, blades)Additional electrical certifications or trade licensesKey CompetenciesStrong analytical and problem‑solving abilityAttention to detail and safety awarenessAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication and reporting skills#J-18808-Ljbffr
