Data Engineer

We are looking for a Customer Data Engineer to join our team of around 1,700 people worldwide to help us power up the traveler’s journey for millions of holidaymakers. The candidate will have the opportunity to become a key member of the team leveraging the data engineering skills to improve the customer experience. Specifically, the engineer will have the chance to work on customer centric and cross domain projects (Loyalty, CRM & Marketing, Login, Consents, APP, etc.). Job Title - Customer Data Engineer Working model – Madrid or all Spanish territory remote Team - you will join the Data Analytics team within the Technology department. Level – Professional (working in teams or individually on projects, with emphasis on technical/discipline knowledge rather than managing people) Contract - Permanent – full-time (EUR 36 h/week) Understand and analyze functional needs, raw data and develop data dimensional models Design, build and deploy data pipelines with a focus on automation, performance optimization, scalability, and reliability aspects Data extraction, analysis and reporting, in order to drive performance insights and support business decisions Closely partner with Data Analyst to implement data models and data pipelines that will allow the company to get all the insights needed Strong knowledge of SQL Airflow) Experience in Data Modelling Experience with data quality and validation Experience in custom ETL design, implementation and maintenance (with tools such as: Talend, dbt, etc.) Proficiency in English both written and spoken Python, R, Scala) Knowledge of data visualization tools like Qlik, Tableau, Looker, Power BI Experience working with cloud or on-prem Big Data/MPP analytics platform (e.g. AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery or similar) Familiarity with digital and ecommerce business Experience in analysis Shorter working week (36h as full time), with a half working day on Fridays – Possibility to work from anywhere for a period of time per year defined according to local regulations Fri-Yays: half a day on Friday morning with a no-meeting mandate and dedicated to deep work, personal growth, learning and training and/or focus time. – Professional and managerial skills development training paths, access to e-learning platforms such as O’reilly, Udemy, Coursera (depending on the department), and to our internal platform offering bespoke training content Occasional social events to foster connections among colleagues – in line with local laws.
