Senior Medical Science Liaison Specialist – MedtronicLocation: Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain.Seniority Level: Mid-Senior level.Employment Type: Full-time.Job Function: Research, Analyst, and Information Technology. Industries: Medical Equipment Manufacturing, Hospitals and Health Care, Pharmaceutical Manufacturing.As a Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will lead relationships with key opinion leaders and other stakeholders, providing clinical and scientific support for Medtronic Neuromodulation products. You will design and implement strategies to engage professional societies, manage evidence generation, and support product education activities, while operating independently and collaborating across teams.ResponsibilitiesImplement strategic goals established by leadership.Manage large, moderately complex initiatives involving cross‑functional teams, adhering to timelines and budgets.Develop and execute operational plans independently.Identify and pursue novel evidence generation opportunities such as external research projects, real‑world evidence, etc.Nurture deep, collegial relationships with key thought leaders, professional societies, and health systems.Demonstrate clinical outcomes and benefits of company products to investigators and institutions.Support continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for physicians, pharmacists, and scientists.Plan society engagement strategies, including podium presence and evidence dissemination.Oversee external research program priorities and milestones.Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of clinical and scientific data related to Neuromodulation products.Provide strategic guidance for product lifecyle activities, including new product introductions.Conduct briefings with senior leaders within the operating unit.Collaborate across functions to reach consensus on initiatives.Required Knowledge and ExperienceMastery level knowledge of Neuromodulation or related specialty area, with additional knowledge of related fields.Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD) preferred; Master’s degree or relevant clinical/scientific background acceptable with a minimum of 5 years of experience.Strong communication and presentation skills, including executive level presentations.Ability to interpret and explain complex scientific data to diverse stakeholders.Experience in a healthcare setting, ideally in medical devices or regulated clinical research.Willingness to travel frequently.Demonstrated project management skills.Excellent interpersonal and analytical thinking abilities.Physical Job RequirementsThe above statements describe the general nature and level of work performed by employees assigned to this position and are not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and skills required.Benefits & CompensationMedtronic offers a competitive salary and a flexible benefits package, including a short‑term incentive TIN (Medtronic Incentive Plan).
