Lead Engineer Hybrid Powertrain Calibration

We are searching for highly motivated engineers with excellent background in calibration and a good level of English and Spanish to work in our team in Valladolid. Responsibilities Pilot the calibration development towards the industrialization or serial‑life phases Summarize the status from Software Development, Calibration team and Validation Perform calibration for HEVC (Hybrid and Electrical Vehicle Controller), HECM (Engine Main Control Unit) or High Voltage components (BMS + Inverter) Manage calibration documentation and macro‑planning of activities Ensure timing, quality gates preparation, reporting to project management and quality, and support production plants Construct and achieve the business Quality Cost Delay Performance commitment, in accordance with regulations and business rules Qualifications Good level of English; French is a plus Engineering degree or equivalent; Master’s degree is a plus More than 5 years of experience in automotive industry topics (calibration, validation, software development) desirable Knowledge of powertrain and engine development – hybrid preferred Knowledge of high‑voltage parts such as BMS (Battery) and Inverter (Electric Motor) is a plus Project Management experience (timing, quality, deliverables, reporting) preferred Team management experience High sense of responsibility, goal‑oriented and strong social skills Extra‑curricular activities such as Formula Student are a plus Driving license required Benefits Good quality and proactive work environment Professional progression inside the team and company Competitive salary compared with other companies in the Spanish automotive sector Valuable know‑how in the automotive sector About AVL Iberica AVL Iberica is responsible for the Spanish, Mexican and Portuguese markets.
