Data Warehouse and Power BI developer - Relocation to BrusselsFor an European institution in Brussels, Belgium, we are looking for a hybrid Data Warehouse and Power BI developer.Candidates need to be based in Belgium or willing to relocate to Brussels, when coming from abroad. Candidates need to be willing to work at least 1 or 2 days onsite per week.Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is not provided. This position is open for contractors.Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support data-driven decision-making, with a strong focus on best practices in data visualization and user experience;Build and manage scalable data pipelines and queries to extract and transform data from Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Synapse Analytics, and Oracle databases into efficient and reusable reporting models;Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to define data requirements, model business logic, and ensure high-quality, validated data is presented in Power BI reports and dashboards;Implement and manage access control mechanisms for Power BI reports, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and workspace permissions, to ensure proper protection of sensitive but non-classified (SNC) data in compliance with data governance policies;Optimize and troubleshoot Power BI datasets and reports, including performance tuning, data refresh strategies, and monitoring of data integrity and access issues;Document end-to-end technical solutions, including data architecture, data flows, and security;configurations, ensuring transparency, maintainability, and traceability of Business Intelligence assets;Profile+5 years of excellent knowledge in Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse, PowerBI integration);+5 years of excellent expertise in Power BI (DAX, Power Query, Row-Level Security);+5 years of excellent expertise in advanced SQL (complex querying, performance tuning);+5 years of excellent expertise in data modeling and data governance;Ability to troubleshoot and optimize Power BI solutions, including performance tuning, data refresh scheduling, and error resolution;Familiarity with version control best practices;Strong documentation skills, including technical design specs, data lineage, and security configurations;Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage business stakeholders and technical teams;Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate certification is an advantage;Seniority levelMid-Senior levelEmployment typeContractJob functionInformation Technology, Consulting, and AnalystIndustriesStaffing and Recruiting, Outsourcing and Offshoring Consulting, and IT Services and IT ConsultingSign in to set job alerts for “Business Intelligence Developer” roles.#J-18808-Ljbffr
