About Enterprise Capabilities Enterprise Capabilities (EC) is AECOM’s primary vehicle for workshare, operating across geographic boundaries and time‑zones. Job Description We’re recruiting a Senior Roadway Engineer with experience in roadway design and team leadership to join our Linear Infrastructures team. The role involves projects from feasibility studies to detailed designs across multiple regions, including the USA, Australia, Canada, and the Middle East. Key Responsibilities Serve as the Highway lead engineer on mid‑ to large‑size projects supported by EC. Make day‑to‑day decisions for a technical team, integrating resources from EC offices in Poland, Spain, India, and elsewhere. Provide technical expertise for studies and designs, conducting complex value‑engineering evaluations and determining alternative designs, materials, and construction techniques. Category packages of work to be handled by EC and elaborate execution plans with internal clients to define the delivery strategy and design team composition. Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others; approve and sign off on deliverables. Ensure team results meet agreed‑upon budgets for specific work packages. Communicate effectively with internal clients and team members to clarify expectations and requirements. Apply highway/railway engineering standards and project specifications, evaluate design options, and understand the impact of design decisions on constructability, operation, and maintenance. Lead design teams—both small and large—for internal clients, integrating resources across EC offices. Train, mentor, and evaluate less experienced staff within the Europe EC group or other delivery centers. Qualifications Proven track record on highway designs and collaboration with international, multicultural teams (+10 years). Team management experience (+3 years). Experience working with international regulations and standards. Proficiency in geometric design software such as OPENROADS, CIVIL 3D, 12D, etc. Commitment to quality control policy and quality management system. Experience in North America or Australia is favorably considered. Fluent in English (oral and written). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering.
