Our Sales Development team is at the heart of that - connecting with data and engineering leaders who want to unlock the power of streaming data. Role Overview The Community Growth Partner is the bridge between brand influence and business development. You aren't here to send cold sequences; you are here to build "Communities of Interest." You will drive meaningful engagement by becoming a trusted node in the data streaming network—identifying, nurturing, and connecting potential customers through social presence and peer-to-peer networking. This is the evolution of the SDR. We believe the future of growth is human-centric, not database-centric. You will blend social influence, high-level networking, and community building to turn "prospects" into "participants" and "leads" into "advocates." Key Responsibilities Ecosystem Cultivation and Network Building Build Communities of Interest: Create and moderate digital spaces (LinkedIn groups, private Slack channels, or localized "meet-ups") where data leaders can discuss industry shifts. The "Social Hub": Act as a connector, introducing industry peers to one another to foster a culture of mutual support centered around Ververica's ecosystem. Identify "Warm" Signals: Monitor social conversations and community interactions to identify accounts that are showing genuine interest, rather than just hitting a lead score. Influence-Led Engagement Personal Brand as a Tool: Build a credible, high-value social presence to "warm up" target accounts. You are the door-opener who people want to hear from. Thoughtful Content Distribution: Transform technical insights into digestible social stories that spark conversation and invite comments from key stakeholders. Modern Outreach: Replace cold scripts with "Value-First" interactions—sharing a relevant article, inviting a lead to a community roundtable, or asking for their expert opinion on a trend. Strategic Partnership & Hand-off Qualify through Connection: Determine if a company is a fit by understanding their pain points through organic dialogue and community participation.
