**About the EIT HEI Initiative**

The EIT Higher Education Initiative aims to increase the innovation and entrepreneurship capacity of European universities and colleges. It does so by supporting higher education institutions to:

- Foster institutional change to expand their entrepreneurial capacity
- Strengthen partnerships with other sides of the knowledge triangle (e.g. businesses, regional authorities, research organisations, governmental bodies, NGOs and other societal partners)
- Contribute to developing innovations and businesses, including supporting students to found and scale up start-ups
- Enhance the quality of innovation and entrepreneurial education, notably by developing training for academic and non-academic staff as well as students
- Share knowledge and good practices

EIT Urban Mobility works with the other EIT Knowledge and Innovation Communities (EIT KICs) to implement the initiative.

**Be part of a team where**:
Since its inception in 2021, the EIT Higher Education Initiative has trained tens of thousands of students and academic and non-academic staff in universities, and provided support to thousands of start-ups. These numbers are expected to grow substantially by 2028.

EIT Urban Mobility is responsible for developing and nurturing the initiative’s alumni community, which includes students and staff trained, and start-up founders.

**1. Management of the online community** (60% of the time)- Design and manage a content calendar by gathering information on training, investment, events and other relevant opportunities for EIT Higher Education Initiative alumni from the whole EIT Community.
- Engage with community members by responding to questions, participating in conversations, and overall keeping the community active and dynamic.
- Oversee editorial planning for the community, including the production of success stories, interviews, and other content relevant to members.
- Send periodic newsletters based on opportunities and content shared in the community.

**2. Partner support** (20% of the time)- Support project partners in engaging alumni community members from the start, designing clear processes and resources, such as promotion toolkits, interactive info-sessions, and other communication assets, to ensure community growth.

**3. Technical and Operational tasks** (20% of the time)- Lead the day-to-day management of the community platform (currently Hivebrite). This includes owning the relationship with the software provider and being responsible for feature development and maintenance. While you don’t need to be an expert in this specific platform, you should be tech-savvy and able to quickly learn new tools.
- Administer the certificate issuance tool (currently Sertifier) for learners.
- Provide guidance on the use and development of community tools to support activities and deliver the alumni value proposition.
- Support the design and implementation of other project activities and events.

The Junior Officer may be required to provide support in other tasks if/when required.

This position will report to the Alumni Lead for the EIT Higher Education Initiative, and work closely other members of staff involved in the initiative.

**What you will bring along the way**:
**Must-have**:

- A Degree or relevant training in communications, marketing, public relations or similar, or equivalent work experience.
- 2+ years of experience managing online communities.
- Excellent communication and writing skills in English (C1).
- A creative and flexible mindset, able to understand and effectively communicate with different audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong digital skills.
- Excellent organisation skills, respect of timelines and deadlines, and attention to detail.
- Ability to travel within Europe when needed (10-15 days per year).

**Nice-to-have**:

- Any additional EU language.
- Knowledge of the European sphere and/or experience working on international, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Knowledge of the higher education sector.
