We are looking for a seasoned engineer to design, configure, and integrate SCADA systems and communications in offshore wind plants. Your Responsibilities Will Include Design, configure, and integrate SCADA systems, data flows, and interfaces across turbines, substations, RTUs/PLCs, and plant controllers. Engineer and validate communications using IEC 61850, Modbus (RTU/TCP), IEC 60870‑5‑104, OPC DA, OPC UA, DNP3, MQTT, GE EGD, and SDI. Develop HMI/SCADA graphics, alarms, trends, historian tags, and reporting; implement tag naming standards and data models. Plan and implement network architectures for OT environments (segmentation, DMZ, routing, VLANs, firewalls, NAT, redundancy). Conduct FAT/SAT, commissioning, and site acceptance, including protocol conformance, performance, and failover testing. Troubleshoot complex communications issues (latency, time sync, packet loss, mapping, conversion/gateway issues). Implement cybersecurity best practices aligned to IEC 62443/NERC CIP where applicable; harden servers, endpoints, and network devices. Produce technical documentation: architecture diagrams, I/O lists, SCL files (for IEC 61850), interface control documents, test plans, and O&M guides. Collaborate with OEMs, EPCs, utilities, and system operators; support grid code compliance and remote operations. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automation/Control, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of hands‑on SCADA/OT experience in industrial environments integrating PLC/RTU/IEDs and substations. Advanced proficiency with the following protocols: IEC 61850 (MMS/GOOSE; awareness of SCL: ICD/CID/SCD); Modbus (RTU and TCP); IEC 60870‑5‑104 (IEC 104); OPC DA and OPC UA; DNP3 (Serial and TCP/IP); MQTT; GE EGD; SDI. Strong experience with network analysis and packet capture; proven ability to diagnose protocol and timing issues. Solid understanding of Windows Server/Client in OT, virtualization, and basic Linux for tooling. Clear, concise technical communication and documentation skills in English.
