Direct message the job poster from Resultance We are looking for an experienced Organizational Design and Target Operating Model (TOM) Consultant (Independent/Freelance consultant) to support a global transformation project. This is a fully remote role. The consultant will work closely with the project lead to structure and drive the design process, coordinate across workstreams, and ensure methodological consistency. This is not a PMO role — we are looking for someone who has hands‑on experience shaping and implementing TOMs across complex, multi‑entity organizations, and who can challenge and guide teams at a conceptual level rather than focus on administrative or purely functional details. Key Responsibilities Support the design and consolidation of the Target Operating Model across functions and regions. Help structure and coordinate organization design activities , ensuring consistency in approach and outputs across workstreams. Facilitate and guide teams through key TOM and org design elements (e.g., governance, roles, decision rights, process ownership). Provide input and challenge on design choices, drawing on prior transformation experience. Translate business and strategic direction into organizational implications (e.g., structure, accountability, and process model). Support workshops, stakeholder discussions, and synthesis of design outcomes into clear deliverables. Collaborate with internal experts (e.g., process, functional, HR) to ensure integration and alignment of detailed design work. Contribute to documentation and synthesis (slides, operating model frameworks, organization blueprints). Profile & Experience Proven experience (5+ years) in organizational design, TOM definition, or operating model transformation , ideally in complex or multinational environments. Strong conceptual and analytical skills; able to move from high‑level vision to tangible design components. Comfortable working with senior stakeholders and facilitating cross‑functional alignment. Experience structuring and supporting design workshops and discussions. Familiarity with typical transformation frameworks and methodologies (e.g., capability models, value streams, governance models). Independent, proactive, and able to self‑manage in a remote setup. Excellent communication and synthesis skills (PowerPoint, conceptual frameworks). Consulting background (internal or external) preferred. This is a fully remote role with a start date ASAP.
