As a Senior R&D Mechanical Engineer, you will lead initiatives to enhance transformer performance and reliability through advanced mechanical simulations, innovative manufacturing processes, and robust design of external components in collaboration with other R&D teams. How you will make an impact Lead and execute R&D projects focused on mechanical simulation, including nonlinear and transient analysis to assess short-circuit forces and structural integrity in transformer components. Develop and validate welding and manufacturing processes for transformer tanks and external structures, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. Drive innovation in manufacturing techniques, including 3D printing and material characterization for transformer applications. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate simulation results into design tools and technical standards. Contribute to technology road mapping and strategy in mechanical domain. Support factory troubleshooting and provide technical guidance on mechanical issues related to transformer externals. Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and support knowledge
