This role is critical for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of high-capacity transmission networks that power next-generation connectivity.Detailed Job DescriptionAs a Transmission Network Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining advanced transmission systems. You’ll work with cutting-edge technologies such as DWDM, Microwave (RTN), and PTN, ensuring seamless network performance and security. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects that impact millions of users globally, while collaborating with top industry professionals in a fast-paced, innovative environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, configure, and optimize transmission networks using DWDM, Microwave, and PTN technologiesPerform troubleshooting and fault resolution for transmission systems to ensure minimal downtimeMonitor network performance and implement proactive measures for reliability and scalabilityCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support network upgrades and integration projectsProvide on-call support and respond to critical incidents promptlyEnsure compliance with cybersecurity standards and best practicesRequired Qualifications & SkillsBachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 3 years of experience in transmission engineering or technical support rolesStrong knowledge of DWDM, Microwave (RTN), and Legacy PTN technologiesSolid understanding of network protocols and industry standardsProficiency in diagnostic tools and software for network troubleshootingExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsFluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken)Ability to work in on-call rotationNice-to-Have SkillsExperience with SDH/SONET and IP/MPLS technologiesFamiliarity with network automation tools and scripting (Python, Ansible)Knowledge of optical fiber infrastructure and planningExposure to cloud networking and virtualization conceptsRelevant vendor certifications (Huawei, Nokia, Cisco)Recruitment Pro TipHighlight your hands-on experience with DWDM and Microwave systems in your CV and be prepared to discuss real-world troubleshooting scenarios during the interview.
