King’s College School, La Moraleja is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and inspiring English & Literature Teacher to join our Secondary School. The successful candidate will foster a deep appreciation of literature and the English language while maintaining high academic standards. The role includes teaching up to and including our public examination classes (currently Edexcel Pearson iGCSE ), working collaboratively within a strong English department. Deliver high‑quality English and Literature teaching aligned with the UK National Curriculum and school expectations. provide effective feedback following school procedures. Create a stimulating, positive learning environment that supports effective teaching. Monitor and adapt teaching to ensure all students make strong progress, including through appropriate differentiation. Provide pastoral support as a form tutor and contribute to the overall wellbeing of students. Participate in emergency procedures, staff meetings, training days, and team planning meetings. Bachelor’s degree and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) . Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for English language and literature. Experience teaching the British National Curriculum , ideally including iGCSE. Evidence of high‑quality teaching and strong student progress.
