Job Description: Surg Svc Environmental Support TechnicianResponsible for maintaining a clean, sanitary, and safe environment in all areas of Surgical Services, with a strong focus on terminal cleaning of the Operating Room and Sterile Processing Department. This role includes turning over rooms between surgical cases, cleaning common areas such as the front desk and peri-anesthesia, and assisting with patient handling. The position demands adherence to infection control policies and procedures, ensuring a sterile and safe environment for patients and staff.SKILLS AND ABILITIES Ability to read, write legibly, and converse effectively in the English language Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) High school diploma or equivalent preferred EXPERIENCE At least one year experience in acute care hospital At least six months recent experience working in hospital operating room preferred GENERAL INFORMATION Union Affiliation: UFCW The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by individuals assigned to this position.  They are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities and job skills required.  Physical/Mental/Environmental Requirements Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently May be required to lift up to 75 pounds Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and body fluids Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone May require periodic use of personal computer Compensation Grade: UFCWCompensation Grade Profile: U034Bay Area Hospital is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
