Alanda Marbella Hotel & Wellness is a 5-star hotel recognized for its excellence in hospitality and gastronomy. We are looking for a creative and organized Head Chef to join our team. We are seeking a leader with demonstrable experience in high-level international cuisine. Your goal will be to lead and evolve our gastronomic proposal to the highest level, aligning with our reputation as a unique destination on the Golden Mile. Your Mission In this role , you will be responsible for the entire culinary operation. Specifically , you will design innovative menus, manage the kitchen team, and ensure that every dish served meets our standards of excellence. Key Responsibilities As Head Chef , your daily duties will include: Menu Design: Designing and developing innovative menus aligned with the hotel’s identity and sector trends. Leadership: Leading and coordinating the kitchen team (Chefs de Partie, cooks, assistants, etc.). Quality Control: Supervising the correct preparation, presentation, and quality of all dishes served. Compliance: Ensuring compliance with hygiene, food safety (HACCP), and current health regulations. Cost Management: Efficiently managing kitchen costs, including food cost, inventory control, orders, and suppliers. Training: Participating in continuous team training and promoting a positive, collaborative work environment. Events: Coordinating with the Events and F&B departments to offer personalized proposals for VIP clients and special groups. Requirements To succeed in this position, you must meet the following criteria: Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Head Chef or Executive Chef, preferably in 5-star hotels or Michelin-starred restaurants . Education: Professional culinary training (specializations are valued). Cuisine: Experience in Mediterranean and International cuisine . Financials: Mastery of cost control systems and costing (escandallos). Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. Language: High level of Spanish and a Medium/High level of English (other languages are a plus). Availability: Availability to work rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays.
