Responsibilities as Mechanical Design Engineer:
- Contribute to the mechanical design of a flight vehicle and its mechanisms, in every stage of the development process.
- Iterate and improve on the design of current models.
- Coordinate with electronics and software engineers regarding system interdependencies.
- Build and test prototypes.
- Manage suppliers.
- Participate in test flights.
Requirements:
- 4+ years of experience in mechanical design and prototyping.
- Masters degree in mechanical engineering.
- Proficient in CAD software tools.
- 3D printing with various materials and methods.
- Design for CNC machining.
- Experience in composite and lightweight materials
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of thermal and structural analysis is a plus.
