Post-doctoral position in integrated photonics design, simulation, fabrication, characterization and packaging ICFO is offering postdoctoral positions to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientists who wish to enhance their scientific career in a friendly and stimulating environment. The successful candidates will be joining theOptoelectronics group led by Prof. Dr. Valerio Pruneri . The group has experience in the study and development of new advanced materials, devices and systems for information and communication technologies, in particular displays, image sensors and secure communications. The main drive of the group is to carry out applied research which bridges academia and industry, by developing fundamental ideas with great potential for revolutionizing future photonic products. The candidates will work on projects related to classical and quantum photonic integrated circuits (PICs) and must have experience on the topic (design, simulation, characterization or packaging of PICs). The aim of the work will be the development of next generation PIC based technologies, ranging from classical photonic processing to quantum communication, sensing, and metrology. On-chip quantum key distribution transmitters, entangled pair sources and single photon sources are also important topics in the group. The group is currently involved in several European projects.
