OverviewThe VHIR Communication Unit is part of the Communication, Corporate Strategy, and Citizen Assistance Department of the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus. Its main objective is to raise awareness of the research carried out at Vall d’Hebron across all areas and in all its forms. It communicates scientific achievements to the public via website, social media, press releases, interviews, videos, campaigns, and internal communications to staff. It audits and presents the scientific output annually and strengthens international ties and public outreach events.ResponsibilitiesSupport implementation of internal communication plan.Support design and implementation of HRS4R communication plan.Coordinate and produce internal newsletters.Write scientific news content for website in Catalan, Spanish, and English.Support press conferences and institutional events.Support social media management.Take and edit photographs.Record and edit video content.Maintain and update website and intranet.Support preparation of Annual Report.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Journalism or a related Communication field.Fluency in Catalan, Spanish, and English (business proficiency).Experience performing tasks as a Communications Technician.Experience managing social media channels.DesiredKnowledge of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R).Familiarity with mailing platforms such as GetResponse and Mailchimp.Experience using Infogram.Labour conditionsFull‑time position: 37.5 h/week.Starting date: immediate.Gross annual salary: Remuneration will depend on experience and skills.Contract: Permanent.BenefitsIncorporation into VHIR, a public sector institution promoting biomedical research.Scientific environment of excellence, dynamic and high‑end projects.Continuous learning and wide responsibilities.Individual training opportunities.Flexible working hours.23 days of holidays plus 9 personal days.Flexible remuneration program (dining checks, health insurance, transportation, etc.).Corporate benefits platform with discounts on travel, culture, technology, gastronomy, sports.Well‑being programmes.International mobility support and welcome services.Application Deadline28‑01‑2026Hiring ProcessPre‑selection based on skills, qualifications, experience.Interviews with Talent Acquisition and/or hiring manager.Practical assessment: case study, technical task, presentation, or written exercise.Checks: education, references, and other verifications.Job offer upon successful completion.EEO StatementVHIR embraces Equality and Diversity.
