Principal Data Modeler (Data Vault) At Visium, we enable enterprise executives in defining their AI & Data strategy, execute large scale transformations and implement AI across operations, ensuring their organization becomes future‑proof. With expertise in strategy, architecture, cloud engineering, analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, we empower our clients to unleash and scale the power of their data. As a Lead Data Modeler, you will spearhead data modeling initiatives for our clients. You will lead a team of data modelers, delivering tailored data use cases and products that solve complex business challenges for our clients. This role is crucial in driving data strategy, ensuring the creation of robust, reusable data assets, and implementing advanced data automation solutions. You will foster a collaborative environment, promote best practices, and align data modeling efforts with our clients’ unique enterprise data model and strategic goals. Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data modelers. Provide guidance and support to enhance team skills in business analysis, the use of data platforms, their applications and data automation tools (BiGenius), tailored to client needs. Conduct recruitment and onboarding of new team members to support our clients’ teams. Data Model Delivery: Collaborate with client project managers to define clear deliverables and timelines. Balance rapid delivery of client use cases with the creation of long‑term, reusable data assets that benefit our clients. Manage dependencies between client data domains. Ensure the coherence and integrity of our clients' enterprise data model, and the consistency of their data products and data contracts. Data Model Governance: Partner with client data domain managers and squad teams to foster organic growth of reusable data assets. Collaborate with client governance teams to maintain consistent data terminology. Manage and optimize data automation tools and associated best practices for client environments. Support client teams in implementing modern data delivery practices (source control, CI/CD, PR). Promote best practices for business model using ELM methodology, Data Vault modeling and encourage the use of agile models. Proficiency in data vault modeling and agile modeling techniques. Strong expertise in enterprise data modeling principles and practices. Experience with cloud‑based data platforms. Deep understanding of data governance and metadata management. Proficiency in data automation tools and methodologies (experience with BiGenius or similar tools). Experience with modern data delivery practices, including source control, CI/CD, and pull requests (PR). Proven experience leading and managing data modeling teams. Experience working directly with client data domain managers and data governance teams. Ability to translate diverse client business requirements into effective data models. Experience with business model development using ELM methodology. Experience with data contracts. A yearly education budget to steep your learning curve.
