Job Description: Field Sales Rep: ModernizationsCarrier is a leading provider of HVAC, refrigeration, fire, security, and building automation technologies. These high-technology products and services enable modern life by delivering efficiency, safety, and security across several platformsAs the Service Sales Representative for Modernizations, you will be responsible for pursuing large opportunities that help our customers modernize their equipment.This role is a great fit for you if you thrive in a fast-paced environment, excel at building relationships, and have outstanding customer service. This is the ideal role for those that are results-oriented and are adept at handling large mechanical customer projects.Job responsibilities Present at customer seminars to develop new and existing customer relationships and opportunitiesDemonstrate expertise in Commercial HVACPromote Carrier value proposition linking customer objectives to Carrier solutionsManage complex multi service solutions proposalsUtilize CRM to manage customer interactions, activities and opportunity pipelineDemonstrate well developed sales skills to include expert awareness, commercial acumen and integritySeek out and access new Modernization opportunities both with existing customers and new prospect customersEstablish and build credibilityDevelop and sustain customer relationshipsCreate compelling presentations and communicate effectivelyDetect the Customer’s buying stage and adjust selling accordinglyManage multiple activities all occurring at the same time, organize others and workflow to meet objectives on timeAnticipate future trends accuratelyAdapts quickly in face pace environment to gain the order/booking in a timely mannerConsistently achieve sales metrics and annual targetsCreate high quality timely estimates, bids & proposals including detailed cost benefit analysis to support client's business case for investment.Education / Certifications Bachelor's degree in related field preferred, High School Diploma / GED required.Basic Qualifications 3-5 years experience selling within the HVAC industry or similarKnowledge of the industry, market and key market participantsAbility to work in a highly team-oriented and dynamic environmentDemonstrated strong written, verbal and presentation skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customersSelf-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilitiesExtremely comfortable operating in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based computer softwareOutstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organizational skillsDemonstrated ability to develop a pipeline of long Lead time projectsStrong knowledge of offerings and solutions within the industryUnderstands the customers’ decision-making processes including the buyers and influencersPossesses strong financial and business acumenUnderstands when to introduce and coordinate other selling roles and support roles into the customerEqual Opportunity Carrier is An Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
