Home | Midad Energy ------ Project Manager - Surface/Production Facilities / Madrid ------ The Project Manager - Surface/Production Facilities will lead the planning, execution, and delivery of surface and production facility projects across North Africa (Algeria, Libya, etc.). Project Leadership & Strategy Develop and execute project strategies for surface/production facilities, aligning with business objectives, HSE standards, and local regulations in North Africa. Define project scope, milestones, budgets, and resource allocation for facility construction, upgrades, or debottlenecking. Lead FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) and EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction) phases for new or existing facilities. Gas/oil processing plants (separation, dehydration, sweetening). Piping, instrumentation, and control systems. Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., API, ASME, ISO, ATEX) and local regulations (e.g., Procurement & Vendor Management Lead procurement strategies for equipment, materials, and services, ensuring cost efficiency and local content compliance (e.g., Manage vendor and contractor performance, including quality control, delivery schedules, and contract compliance. Coordinate with logistics teams to optimize supply chain and customs clearance for North African projects. Construction & Commissioning Supervise construction, installation, and commissioning of surface facilities, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and schedule. Lead pre-commissioning, start-up, and performance testing of facilities, including punch list closure and handover to operations. HSE & Compliance Ensure compliance with HSE standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 45001, local regulations) and environmental permits for facility operations. Monitor emissions, waste management, and sustainability in alignment with North African environmental laws. Collaborate with local authorities, regulatory bodies, and community stakeholders to secure permits and address concerns. Budget & Financial Control Manage project budgets, cost controls, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate guidelines. Track expenditures, variances, and forecasting for facility projects. Digital Transformation & Reporting Implement digital tools (e.g., BIM, project management software, IoT monitoring) to enhance project efficiency. Lead multidisciplinary project teams, including engineers, contractors, and operations personnel. Develop training and mentorship programs for local engineers and technicians. Foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement within the team. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Petroleum Engineering, or related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification is a plus. 10+ years in project management, with a focus on surface/production facilities (oil/gas processing, gas modular installations, compression, utilities). ~5+ years in a leadership role managing EPC projects in North Africa, the Middle East, or emerging markets. ~ Experience with facility design, construction, commissioning, and HSE compliance in the energy sector. Project management (planning, scheduling, budgeting, risk management). Procurement and vendor management (local content, contract negotiation). Construction and commissioning oversight (quality control, HSE compliance). Digital tools (BIM, Primavera, SAP, IoT monitoring). Regulatory compliance (API/ASME standards, North African laws). Cross-cultural collaboration and stakeholder management. Fluent in English (mandatory) Spanish (highly preferred). French and/or Arabic (highly preferred for North African operations).
