Overview SW HouseLocation MadridExperience SeniorWe are seeking an experienced Senior QA Test Engineer to join a Swiss banking client in Madrid, Spain. This role involves ensuring quality assurance across the full software development lifecycle in a hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote within Spain).Project Overview The successful candidate will join an agile development team, taking ownership of quality assurance activities and collaborating closely with developers, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions.Responsibilities Act as an integral member of an agile Scrum team with strong ownership of quality topicsManage and coordinate all QA activities across the full SDLC (refinement, design, testing, release, post-release)Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases covering business requirements and acceptance criteriaPerform positive, negative, and exploratory testing scenariosCreate, manage, and validate test data across multiple environmentsProduce audit-ready documentation of test results (logs, screenshots, traceability reports)Conduct REST API testing including request/response validation, error handling, and data consistency checksExecute end-to-end testing across multiple integrated systemsUse version control systems (Git) to manage test artifactsPerform structured root cause analysis to distinguish UI, integration, data, environment, and requirement-related issuesCollaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and external partnersOwn defect management, bug triage, and regression testing processesContribute to non-functional testing strategies (performance, scalability, reliability)Required Profile Several years of experience as a QA Test Engineer in agile/Scrum environmentsStrong expertise in test design techniques (TCD) and risk-based test prioritizationSolid understanding of end-to-end business processes, system dependencies, and integration flowsExperience testing web applications and backend servicesHands-on experience with REST API testingExperience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systemsConfident usage of test and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, test management plugins are a plus)Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skillsIndependent, responsible working style with a strong quality focusExperience working with international and distributed teamsQualifications & Soft Skills Very good English skills (C1/C2 level)Degree in IT or comparable practical experienceTesting certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are an advantageExcellent communication skills (written and verbal)High attention to detail, resilience, and adaptabilityTeam-oriented, solution-driven mindsetStrong commitment to delivering high-quality software and sustainable business valueProject Details Methodology: API testing, CI/CD, Scrum, REST APIPlatform/Tool: Git, JiraLibrary/Framework: Selenium, PlaywrightProject duration: Long-term projectStart date: March 2, 2026Type: ContractLanguage on the project: English#J-18808-Ljbffr
