Overview SW House Location Madrid Experience Senior We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Test Engineer to join a Swiss banking client in Madrid, Spain. This role involves ensuring quality assurance across the full software development lifecycle in a hybrid working model (3 days onsite, 2 days remote within Spain). Project Overview The successful candidate will join an agile development team, taking ownership of quality assurance activities and collaborating closely with developers, business stakeholders, and external partners to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software solutions. Responsibilities Act as an integral member of an agile Scrum team with strong ownership of quality topics Manage and coordinate all QA activities across the full SDLC (refinement, design, testing, release, post-release) Design, execute, and maintain comprehensive test cases covering business requirements and acceptance criteria Perform positive, negative, and exploratory testing scenarios Create, manage, and validate test data across multiple environments Produce audit-ready documentation of test results (logs, screenshots, traceability reports) Conduct REST API testing including request/response validation, error handling, and data consistency checks Execute end-to-end testing across multiple integrated systems Use version control systems (Git) to manage test artifacts Perform structured root cause analysis to distinguish UI, integration, data, environment, and requirement-related issues Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, developers, and external partners Own defect management, bug triage, and regression testing processes Contribute to non-functional testing strategies (performance, scalability, reliability) Required Profile Several years of experience as a QA Test Engineer in agile/Scrum environments Strong expertise in test design techniques (TCD) and risk-based test prioritization Solid understanding of end-to-end business processes, system dependencies, and integration flows Experience testing web applications and backend services Hands-on experience with REST API testing Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems Confident usage of test and defect management tools (e.g., Jira, test management plugins are a plus) Strong analytical mindset and structured problem-solving skills Independent, responsible working style with a strong quality focus Experience working with international and distributed teams Qualifications & Soft Skills Very good English skills (C1/C2 level) Degree in IT or comparable practical experience Testing certifications (e.g., ISTQB) are an advantage Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) High attention to detail, resilience, and adaptability Team-oriented, solution-driven mindset Strong commitment to delivering high-quality software and sustainable business value Project Details Methodology: API testing, CI/CD, Scrum, REST API Platform/Tool: Git, Jira Library/Framework: Selenium, Playwright Project duration: Long-term project Start date: March 2, 2026 Type: Contract Language on the project: English #J-18808-Ljbffr
