This is a remote position.Location: Remote / Southern Europe preferredContract: Full-time (founding engineer role)About the projectWorkwide is supporting an early-stage tech venture that has just completed its MVP – a digital relocation platform helping people moving abroad set up utilities, banking, insurance, telecom and other essentials fast and hassle‑free. The founding team, originally from the Nordics and now based in Southern Spain, are third‑time founders with a proven track record of building successful ventures. They have already secured several key commercial partnerships and are now preparing for a controlled beta launch. To accelerate development and scale the product they’re looking for a full‑stack developer who can take ownership of the technical evolution from MVP to a stable, scalable V1. The company remains in stealth mode; full details will be shared with shortlisted candidates.What you’ll doTake full ownership of the technical stack and product deliveryMaintain, improve and scale the existing Laravel codebaseLead backend development, including API integrations and data modelsBuild and integrate partner APIs and third‑party servicesOptimize performance, security and scalability ahead of beta and growthWork directly with the founders on roadmap priorities and user feedbackIntroduce pragmatic engineering practices (Kanban, CI/CD, code reviews) without slowing velocityWho you areYou’ve built and shipped real products end‑to‑end, ideally in startups or lean teamsStrong backend experience with Laravel/PHP (this is key)Solid frontend experience with VueComfortable owning architecture delivery and technical decisionsPragmatic: you value clean, maintainable code but prioritize shipping and learning fastConfident working autonomously with a high level of responsibilityBonus: you’ve lived or worked abroad and understand the challenges of relocationThe offerBase salary: approx. 4000 / month (initially)Equity: 38% ownership granted upon hiring (standard vesting schedule applies)Vacation: 6 weeks of paid time offRemote flexibility with founders based in Southern EuropeInfluence: direct say in tech decisions and roadmap prioritiesThis is a rare ground‑floor opportunity to join a project with an MVP already live commercial traction underway and plenty left to build.Start date: ASAPHow to applyApply today with your English CV to be shortlisted.
