Freelance Machine Learning Engineer (Python) Location: Zagreb, Croatia | Salary: €52,800.00-€70,200.00 Direct message the job poster from Parallel Consulting Role Overview We are seeking an experienced AI Engineer to support the next evolution of our conversational AI platform. This phase focuses on advanced chatbot capabilities and full voice enablement, delivering scalable, production-ready AI solutions across text and real-time voice channels. Key Responsibilities Design, develop and enhance AI-driven chatbot and voice interaction features. Build and optimise conversational workflows using LLMs and AI/ML APIs. Implement and maintain embeddings and vector databases in production environments. Deploy, monitor and optimise AI models at scale, ensuring performance and reliability. Integrate enterprise data sources into prompt services and conversational pipelines. Contribute to voice enablement, including speech-to-text and text-to-speech solutions (e.g. Whisper). Work with WebRTC or similar technologies to support real-time voice interactions. Collaborate with product, platform and engineering teams to deliver stable, scalable AI solutions. Required Skills & Experience Strong programming skills in Python and C#. Proven hands‑on experience with AI/ML APIs and LLM‑based applications. Practical knowledge of embeddings, vector databases, and prompt orchestration frameworks. Experience deploying AI solutions into production environments. Solid understanding of speech‑to‑text, text‑to‑speech and voice model integration. Familiarity with real‑time communication frameworks such as WebRTC. Preferred / Nice‑to‑Have Skills Experience working in Azure environments, including Azure AI Foundry and Azure AI Search. Exposure to cloud‑based MLOps, model deployment pipelines or related DevOps practices. Previous experience scaling conversational AI or voice platforms in enterprise environments.
