IE University's Business School is looking for an Senior Associate Director to join its team The Senior Associate Director Analytics, AI & Insights supports decision-making and strategic planning within the Business School by transforming data into actionable insights and streamlining processes through automation, artificial intelligence, and workflow improvements. The role plays a pivotal part in driving the digital and analytical transformation of academic and operational areas, fostering a culture of innovation and experimentation while ensuring measurable impact through efficiency gains and data-driven decision-making. Working closely with senior leadership, program management, operations, and the university's Central Data Office, the position designs and delivers advanced analytics, dashboards, and AI-enabled solutions that guide academic and operational excellence. It also partners with the Operational Excellence and Innovation team to pilot and scale emerging technologies — such as Generative AI, RPA, and intelligent automation — that enhance the student experience and institutional performance. Our People At IE we are: People-driven Change Builders Autonomy Enthusiasts Communication Enthusiasts Knowledge Champions We are looking for a person to join a full-time position in Madrid - María de Molina Campus Responsibilities: Your role as a Senior Associate Director will involve: Strategic Leadership and Oversight: Lead the design and delivery of analytical frameworks, dashboards, and data visualizations that translate complex data into strategic insights for senior leadership. Partner with academic and operational teams to define and track KPIs that measure institutional performance, efficiency, and impact. Apply advanced statistical and analytical methods (e.g., predictive modelling, clustering, correlation) to identify trends, forecast outcomes, and support data-driven decision-making. AI Innovation and Emerging Technologies: Lead the design, prototyping, and deployment of AI-powered agents and copilots that enhance productivity, automate interactions, and support academic and operational teams. Identify and prioritize use cases for Generative AI, intelligent assistants, and large language model (LLM) applications that improve both internal efficiency and the student experience Stay at the forefront of emerging AI technologies, assessing their relevance and feasibility for integration into academic operations. Process Optimization and Automation: Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through AI-driven process redesign and automation of recurring workflows. Lead the development and maintenance of automated data pipelines and workflow orchestration using tools such as Power Automate, Python, and SQL. Ensure that all AI and automation projects follow institutional standards for data governance, security, and responsible AI usage. Data Strategy Partner with the Data Office to ensure data quality and consistency Oversee integration of structured and unstructured data sources to enable intelligent decision-making Innovation Culture and Change Management Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, encouraging experimentation, learning, and adoption of new tools and methods. Lead change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies and processes across teams. Act as a bridge between business needs and technical solutions, ensuring that digital initiatives align with institutional strategy and user needs. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement Work closely with Vice Deans, Program Management, Operations, Data Office and senior leadership to align analytical initiatives with strategic objectives. Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. Qualifications: To thrive in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: University degree, preferably complemented by a Master's in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline. At least 3-5 years of experience in analytics, AI, or digital transformation roles, leading initiatives that improve efficiency, automation, and decision-making. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights. Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders at multiple levels, including senior leadership, program teams, and operations staff. Ability to balance hands-on technical work with a strategic perspective on how data, AI, and automation can drive organizational improvement. Proficient in data visualization, reporting, and automation tools, including Power BI, Python, SQL, and Power Automate. Familiar with emerging technologies such as Generative AI, AI agents, conversational AI, and low-code AI platforms. Skilled in collaboration and productivity tools, such as Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and AI copilots for content generation and decision support. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.
