We are committed to creating a culture that reflects the diversity of our guests and encourages employees to be themselves.What the job isAs Group and Events Coordinator, you will coordinate the reservations, room blocks, and contracts for large groups and report to the Director of Sales & Marketing.Your day-to-day responsibilitiesMaintain group blocks, rooming lists and reservations in the system.Assist with on-site meetings as needed.Achieve personal and team goals as assigned.Work closely with other hotel departments to facilitate services agreed upon by the sales office and prospective clients.Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, and/or hotel services within approved booking guidelines.Accurately produce and/or review all sales contracts, rate agreements, and/or banquet/catering event orders.Follow up with clients regularly during and after departure to ensure satisfaction and secure future bookings.Prepare for each group's arrival, including group history, billing information, deposits, filing, VIP information, correspondence, and correctly record group rooms and revenue in the property management system.What we need from youBachelor's degree in hospitality or a related field.2+ years of experience.Fluency in the local language and English; additional languages are highly valuable.Experience with entertainment groups is highly valuable.Proactive, positive, energetic, dynamic, emphatic, and passionate about service.Competitive and proactive seller willing to travel to find the right business.Knowledge of Opera PMS and Delphi is valuable.What to expect from usCompetitive salary.Discounted international room rates.Employee recognition programmes.Training programmes and access to IHG's training tool.Meals while on duty.ContactClick here to reply to this announcement.
