As a Kuiper EMC/EMI engineer you will develop requirements, review designs and build test capability for complex payload subsystems for low-earth-orbit satellites. In this role you will influence decision makers on the process, procedures and necessary tests required to achieve EMI/EMC qualified hardware. You will execute tests and provide leadership for other engineers and technicians during test campaigns.ResponsibilitiesDefine requirements for testing and qualifying subsystemsPerform analysis of radiated emissions and susceptibility (RE/RS)Develop models for interference and shielding issues to mitigate and control emissions and susceptibilityWork with electronic component design teams to communicate requirements related to electromagnetic environments such as shielding, grounding, bonding and isolationWork with subsystem design owners on EMI related challengesDefine and coordinate EMI and EMC testing for a satellite and its subsystemsCoordinate requirements and validation with Launch Providers’ EMI and EMC teamsDevelop and maintain EMI/EMC test labs and equipment and support execution of EMI/EMC testing for a satellite and its subsystemsIdentify emission and susceptibility non-conformance. The base pay for this position ranges from $128,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $213,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
