AI Systems Engineer | LLMs & Generative AI | €55k-€75k p/a | Fixed term contract until June 2026 | Quantum Computing and Software | Zaragoza | Hybrid WFH | Visa sponsored | Machine Learning & Data ScienceWorking arrangements:Hybrid home working, 3 days a week in office, 2 days a week WFH Contract:Fixed term short contract only until project end in June 2026 Location:Zaragoza, Spain Visa Sponsorship:Yes, availableWe are a specialist recruiter working with an expanding engineering team hiring skilled professionals who want to work at the intersection of artificial intelligence, real-world system deployment and high-performance operational engineering.You will join a rapidly growing deep-tech company building advanced AI solutions for industrial and enterprise clients across Europe and beyond.These roles sit within the group responsible for ensuring that AI models, software components and edge devices operate reliably, efficiently and at scale.Depending on your background, you may work on model integration, cloud or edge deployment, validation workflows, system optimisation, customer support, automated pipelines, or platform reliability.You will be hands-on across engineering activities such as system integration, debugging, testing, pipeline maintenance, deployment processes, performance tuning and continuous improvement of AI-driven systems in production environments.Key responsibilities across these roles include:Deploying AI and machine-learning models into production (edge devices or cloud environments). Maintaining and improving pipelines for data processing, training, inference and ongoing model updates. Investigating and resolving system behaviour issues, performance bottlenecks and integration challenges. Running validation and quality-assurance workflows to ensure models and systems meet reliability standards. Supporting internal and external users with technical troubleshooting and operational guidance. Implementing automation, observability and documentation to strengthen delivery workflows. Ensuring consistent performance across distributed systems, GPUs, embedded devices and cloud services. Collaborating closely with AI engineers, backend teams, testing teams and product stakeholders to support smooth deployments.We welcome applications from people with experience in:Software engineering or backend development Machine learning engineering or model deployment Data Science LLM Engineering RAG Systems Generative AI Data and pipeline engineering Cloud engineering (AWS, Azure, or similar) Edge or embedded systems QA, validation, testing or technical support Distributed systems and high-performance computing Python and/or Linux-based development, containerisation or automation toolsIf you are someone who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, ensuring operational reliability and being close to real AI systems used in production, this is an excellent opportunity to grow and make an impact.We are looking for engineers who are curious, hands-on, comfortable with problem-solving, and motivated by deploying advanced AI technologies into real-world environments.
