We are looking for a motivated and autonomous Financial Accountant willing to work within a small and transparent structure in a dynamic and international environment. If you are a finance professional passionate about venture capital and financial control, this is your opportunity This is a full-time, on-site position based in our Madrid office. We value in-person collaboration and teamwork; therefore, remote work is unavailable for this role. Please note: this is not an investment role. We highly value the following attributes: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in professional services. Strong preference for Audit / Accountancy experience (e.g. Auditor of Alternative Funds (PE / VC)). Good understanding of accounting and legal frameworks. Either through academic study (ADE) or professional experience (e.g. transaction services / legal due diligence). Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent preferred. Self starter, with strong initiative and exacting quality standards. Proactive and detail-oriented. Fluent in English and Spanish. What responsibilities will you have as a Financial Accountant at Adara? 1. Accounting and Finance General Accounting: Maintain and oversee the firm's accounting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) or International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Financial Statements: Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cashflow statements. Closings: Coordinate and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closing processes. 2. Investment Management Capital Calls and Distributions: Manage capital calls and fund distributions to investors. Investment Valuation: Participate in the periodic valuation of portfolio investments, ensuring valuations accurately reflect current market value. 3. Reporting and Analysis Investor Reports: Assist in the preparation and distribution of financial reports to investors, providing detailed analysis of investment status and portfolio performance. 4. Regulatory and Tax Compliance Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the firm complies with all financial reporting and auditing requirements. Taxes: Coordinate the preparation and submission of tax returns. Audit Coordination: Partner with external auditors to coordinate and facilitate annual financial audits. Risk Identification: Identify and evaluate financial and operational risks. Internal Controls: Develop and maintain robust internal controls to mitigate risks.
