The successful candidate will lead a global team of scientists and medical advisors, support the other Medical Affairs programs and regional Medical Affairs teams based in the US, Latin America, China and Asia Pacific. This is an onsite role at QIAGEN Barcelona.Key ResponsibilitiesManage the daily activities, budget, planning and resources of the teamAct as a core member of the Project Development CommitteesLead medical risk analyses and work closely with Post Market Surveillance teamLead Medical Training and Medical Education programsAct as lead for the Investigator Initiated QIAStat Study programLead the interdisciplinary support activities for the Commercial, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Research and Development teamsPosition RequirementsStrong laboratory/medical background in infectious disease diagnostics.Minimum 5 years’ experience in Medical Affairs, preferably for an IVD company.Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial role.Experience in the design and development of infectious disease products.Exemplary interpersonal skills at all levels of seniority with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
