It hosts MareNostrum, one of Europe's most powerful supercomputers, and plays a key role in initiatives such as PRACE and EuroHPC JU. The center combines HPC service provision and R&D across life, earth, and engineering sciences, employing over 1,000 staff from 60 countries. Context and Mission We are searching for a candidate to support the full lifecycle management of research projects within the BSC Project Management Office (PMO). The focus will be on the AI Factory project, including contract management, pre-award, and post-award activities. Key Duties Collaborate with Innovation & Business Development, internal departments, and external partners to plan and monitor project resources, timelines, and budgets; identify risks and facilitate problem resolution. Organize and participate in meetings, reviews, and events; prepare and submit periodic reports and ensure compliance with funding requirements. Lead contract negotiation, drafting, signing and execution, protecting BSC interests and coordinating with legal and finance teams. Explore funding opportunities, especially public grants from Catalan and Spanish agencies, and identify potential collaborations with industry partners. Contribute to PMO process improvement by sharing best practices and building relationships with research group leaders. RequirementsEducation University degree. Related courses in project management, research proposal preparation, or contract management are a plus. Essential Knowledge And Professional ExperienceExperience in research project management. Fluency in Spanish and English. Additional Knowledge And Professional ExperienceExperience with public grant funding, European Commission Framework Programme projects, Spanish State Plan, or bilateral corporate contracts is a plus. Competences Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to travel. Ability to work autonomously, take initiative, and thrive under pressure with strict deadlines. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets and presentation tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or equivalents). Conditions Location: BSC, Directors Department. Contract: Full-time (37.5h/week), open-ended with flexible hours and extensive training.
