Responsibilities This role will coordinate with external accountants, operations team, and asset management requirements to perform the day-to-day back-office finance function and be responsible for the financial reporting of PBSA assets in Barcelona. The successful candidate will:  Work based in Barcelona and report to the Iberia finance team Work with external accountants ensuring that the finance system links to the property booking systems Oversee business process providers and be the link with the onsite operations team Collaborate with the financial reporting process of the asset and Review and provide commentary on monthly performance liaising with applicable managers to ensure that all variances are investigated and explained. Liaise with the Operations team in providing incisive information on business performance, identifying key issues and trends to enable business decisions to be made. Gather the required information and collaborate to ensure that all the tax reporting (VAT and Corporation tax) and company reporting requirements are met Assist with the annual audit Responsible for the accounts payable and accounts receivable process Keep relationships with all main counterparties including administrators and tax advisors, payroll consultants, management companies in charge of the investment funds owning the building Qualifications The ideal candidate will be: An experienced administrative/accountant with 3-4 years of experience (previous experience in PBSA/Hotels will be valued) Experienced in working in an international environment Technically strong with an attitude for business process improvement Experienced in accounts payable and accounts receivable process Customer orientated with proven ability to develop close working relationships Enthusiastic and motivated team player with the ability to plan and execute tasks Flexible and able to work to tight deadlines Knowledgeable of Microsoft Excel Able to speak and write in English and Spanish Closing At Hines, we strive for excellence as a leading global real estate investment manager, driven by our by our belief that real estate is fundamentally about people.
