Job Title: Senior Data Lead Engineer Location: Malaga, Spain - Hybrid: 1 Day to Office Every Week Duration: Permanent | Employment Type: Contract B2B Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a Senior Data Lead Engineer to drive the evolution of Data, AI, and BI platforms for Global Transaction Banking (GTB). You will own the data roadmap, design scalable cloud architectures, and lead high‑impact data and AI initiatives in a complex, regulated environment. Key Responsibilities Lead the Data, AI & BI roadmap ensuring scalability, security, resilience, and cost efficiency Design and evolve a cloud‑based data lakehouse architecture (AWS) Build domain‑oriented data products aligned with data mesh principles Develop and maintain ETL, CDC‑based, and event‑driven ingestion pipelines Integrate cloud and on‑prem data lakes with strong governance, lineage, and security Deliver high‑quality datasets and semantic layers for BI, KPIs, and reporting Enable AI / ML and LLM use cases (feature engineering, RAG, fine‑tuning, monitoring) Act as a technical leader and mentor for data, ML, and BI engineers Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver measurable value Required Experience ~5+ years in Data Engineering / Data Platforms / AI Engineering ~ Proven experience with AWS‑based data platforms and lakehouse architectures ~ Hands‑on with Databricks or EMR (Spark) ~ Strong background in data ingestion, ETL, CDC, and event‑driven architectures ~ Experience enabling production AI / ML solutions ~ Strong exposure to data governance, data quality, and BI data modelling Key Skills AWS: S3, Lake Formation, Glue, EMR Databricks: Spark (PySpark / Scala), Delta / Iceberg, MLflow SQL & Python Data mesh, data‑as‑a‑product, SLAs & contracts Data governance, lineage, observability & guardrails AI / ML & LLMs (RAG, fine‑tuning, Bedrock) BI & semantic modelling (KPIs, star schemas) Nice to Have AWS or Databricks certifications CI / CD, orchestration & Infrastructure as Code Experience with QuickSight, Power BI, Qlik Agile delivery (JIRA, Confluence) #J-18808-Ljbffr
