Business Intelligence Consultant Location: Madrid, Community of Madrid, Spain Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Full-time Job function: Analyst Industries: Technology, Information and Media Overview DATAIS is a consultancy specializing in the design and execution of data and artificial intelligence projects, adopting an integrated approach to cover the entire data cycle and strategy. What You Will Be Doing Design and create data visualisations (reports and dashboards) to support business needs. Define, design and develop complex or nested SQL queries or extracts for dashboards. Establish standards and best practices for dashboards and related technologies for the project. Manage the dashboard repository and optimise content. Develop regular and ad‑hoc analysis methods and reports. Deploy Business Intelligence solutions. Successfully complete all assigned custom production jobs on time and according to project requirements. Ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction, with a successful product delivery. Demonstrate your skill and aptitude regarding custom product team processes (merge, purge, geo‑spatial, file conversion, file clean‑up, template creation, data appends, suppressions, key coding, data/file manipulation, etc.). Demonstrate technical proficiency in various vendor applications. Train customers and team members. Qualifications & Competences 1 to 5 years of experience in the BI sector. Degree in Economics, Statistics, Computer Science or equivalent work experience. Ability to master new tools quickly. Demonstrates a high level of organisation and strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and proactively. Solves problems by gathering information, evaluating options and recommending solutions. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written. Strong passion for data and technology. Able to work under pressure and in complex organisations. Excellent Spanish is required. Good English is a must. Technology Skillset 2+ years of experience with any analytics and data visualisation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlikview). 1+ years of experience with any ETL tool (Tableau Prep, Knime, SSIS, Talend, Pentaho, Business Objects, Alteryx, Power Query, DAX/M). SQL knowledge and experience working with databases and programming languages is preferred. Programming languages such as Python, R, Javascript, etc. are preferred.
