Lead Cloud and AI Architect – Scandinavian Tobacco Group Scandinavian Tobacco Group (STG) is undergoing a comprehensive transformation aimed at optimizing our technical ecosystem, enhancing system capabilities, and adopting best practices to support our business objectives and overall performance. About the Role As a Lead Cloud Architect, you will design, implement, and maintain cloud‑based infrastructure and artificial intelligence systems. You will collaborate with the Enterprise Architect to develop a cloud and AI strategy, establish a well‑documented governance model, and provide support and guidance to the business. Primary Tasks Design cloud architecture for scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient solutions, selecting appropriate platforms and services. Drive the organization’s entry into AI, including machine learning models, natural language processing, computer vision, and related technologies. Continuously monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize performance for cloud and AI systems. Ensure compliance with security best practices and relevant regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR). Stay current with emerging cloud and AI trends, conduct research, and recommend innovative solutions. Document architecture, design decisions, and implementation details; communicate technical concepts to executives, clients, and stakeholders. Knowledge and Expertise Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field. Technical Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, engineering, or related roles. Proven experience designing and managing solutions on major cloud platforms, preferably Azure. Strong background in cloud security, including identity & access management, encryption, and compliance frameworks. Experience deploying AI/ML systems, such as machine learning model development, natural language processing, or computer vision. Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, or Azure Bicep. Strong understanding of enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and governance models. Solid understanding of cost‑optimization strategies in cloud environments.
