Job Description Junior Hydraulics & Drainage Engineer – Madrid, Spain We are currently recruiting a Junior Engineer with experience in Hydraulics and Drainage design, to be based in the Spain Enterprise Capabilities Office in Madrid. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, incorporating a combination of both in‑office and remote working schedules. The successful candidate will join our busy and expanding experienced team, providing assessment, concept, feasibility, preliminary and detailed designs on a wide range of projects. Responsibilities Set standards and procedures for CADD and modeling works. Perform self‑checks of work products before submission and participate in quality control reviews of documentation from equally or less experienced staff. Assign and coordinate tasks to other technical or administrative staff, mainly related to drafting. Work on small projects or portions of larger projects supported by EC, with work reviewed by senior or experienced engineers. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in hydraulics and drainage (H&D) design, with a clear interest in developing a technical career in this field. Proficiency in Civil3D, including setting up standards and creating pipeline alignments, profiles, cross sections, grading, and operations with surfaces. Experience with hydraulics and hydrology software packages such as HEC‑RAS/HMS, StormCAD, Infoworks ICM, OpenRoads Designer, 12D, etc., is well considered. Fluent in English (oral and written). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor or Master degree in Civil, Environmental or Water Engineering or related field.
