Role We are looking for an experienced Legal M&A Counsel to join our SaaS Legal team. You will lead the legal stream for our M&A transactions across Europe together with the SaaS General Counsel, working closely with colleagues in M&A, PMI, tax, finance, and a Junior Legal M&A Counsel whom you will mentor. Key Responsibilities Lead the legal stream for the group’s M&A transactions (share and asset deals) end-to-end Draft and negotiate transactional contracts (SPAs, SHAs, APAs, management agreements, earnout agreements, …) Coordinate legal due diligence processes Drive process optimisations together with the M&A, tax, and finance teams Manage and coordinate internal and external legal advice on transactional matters Requirements Education & Professional Background Law degree from a recognised institution Minimum 5+ years of M&A legal experience Qualified lawyer Technical Skills Solid background in M&A and experience with leading legal M&A processes Self‑driven, proactive, and collaborative working style Analytical and pragmatic mindset Strong organisational and prioritisation skills Ambition to take full responsibility for all transactional matters within the group Language Requirements Fluent in English (working language) + at least one other European language Core Competencies Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams Commercial mindset with understanding of business operations Proactive approach to problem‑solving and risk management Excellent stakeholder management and relationship‑building skills Strong attention to detail and organisational capabilities What We Offer An international, fast‑growing, and financially strong group with HQ in Ghent, Belgium Direct reporting line to the SaaS General Counsel, who provides trust and autonomy, with a strong focus on results Being part of a close‑knit legal team with both regional and group responsibilities Exciting transactional work across Europe A dynamic and entrepreneurial environment, including exposure to start‑ups and scale‑ups Great flexibility and a strong company culture built on values An attractive compensation package in line with your experience At team.blue, our commitment to caring for the environment and each other is at the heart of everything we do.
