You will play a critical role in defining and implementing the vision for the Platform supporting Factorial's growth for the years to come. Our mission is to keep the Factorial application running 24/7, ensure its performance, scalability and security, as well as research improvements to enable Product Engineers to develop new use cases adding value to our customers.The Engineering team at large: Factorial has a team of +200 Fullstack developers. We look for smart people who are curious, proactive and have good communication skills.Responsibilities Design and develop scalable software solutions that meet business requirements and enhance user experience.Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to junior engineers on best practices and coding standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of features.Perform code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and performance optimization.Identify and troubleshoot software defects and implement effective solutions.Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve skills and knowledge.Your profile You’re able to define professional standards and create concepts used across the company.You have a clear vision for the discipline and work step-by-step to make it real.You’re seen as a leader technically and culturally, maintaining high-quality standards.You drive adoption of new abstractions, creating supporting ecosystems like documentation and metrics.You lead key technical decisions and create company-wide abstractions when needed.You encourage innovation, continuous learning, and best practices.Engagement/Agency Thinks company-wide, planning initiatives with horizontal impact.Focuses on creating more Staffs by coaching, sharing knowledge, and easing adoption of new ideas.Engages in long-term strategic thinking, aligning engineering vision with leadership and business.Challenges engineering processes, from hiring to code deployment.Works to connect team efforts with company goals.Requirements Proven experience as a software engineer, with a strong background in software development methodologies; experience in SaaS or startup environments is a plus.Expertise in programming languages, such as Java, Python, Ruby, or JavaScript.Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.Having been on the Tier 2 on-call rotation handling production incidents.Deep knowledge on MySQL administration (deploying, upgrading, fine tuning configuration for performance and stability) – in productionStrong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.Excellent communication skills in English.At least 10 years of experience working as a Systems/Infra Engineer, with a background as an application developer.Work ethics You are a team player: you are comfortable helping teammates, sharing knowledge, reviewing code and asking for reviews of your own.You have a user-centric mindset: you know that the only reason we write code is to help our users perform their tasks.You are a learner: you want to improve your skills not only in the engineering field but across other areas.You are an owner: you like proposing new hypotheses and being responsible for building, deploying and validating them.You love understanding: breaking down complex problems into basic and shareable elements.You are T-shaped: you can tackle tasks in different areas of Infrastructure, with deeper knowledge in one or two.You are a mentor: you love to share your experience and expertise to help others grow.Why Join Factorial?
