That’s why we like to shake things up and go against the status quo. Penpot is the free open-source design tool that allows true collaboration between designers and developers. It is one of the most promising global design tools for interaction design, used by hundreds of thousands of UX/UI designers, product designers and web developers across the world. What do we need Our team is a mix of tech experts and design professionals, with great agile management skills. We also have dedicated teams in Marketing, Communications, People & Growth—all working together to innovate and improve Penpot. Tech applicants note: We mainly work with functional programming and open‑source tools/languages. Full‑stack flexibility (comfort with both frontend & backend) is a big plus. At Kaleidos, we keep things flat and self‑organized—no traditional management hierarchy. If you thrive in teams where everyone contributes equally, you’ll feel right at home. We walk the talk on open‑source philosophy: All roles (yes, even design and corporate) require using Linux distributions as our primary OS whenever possible. We operate in both Spanish and English, so comfort communicating in both languages is essential for all positions. We maintain an office in Madrid (Spain), however, attendance at this location is discretionary. You are welcome to work remotely from any location with a reliable internet connection, provided that we share a time zone CET +/- 1 or you may choose to come to the office as often as you want. 23 days of paid leave, plus December 24th and 31st, and the possibility to ask for 10 extra non‑paid leave days. We’re super flexible with your dates, you just need to make sure it’s fine with your team. Choose the holiday calendar of where you live or from the headquarters (Madrid).
